Inhale
a poem
Inhale Inhale the air touched by trees Exhalation of such green leaves Clean air comes without a price The cost is but to design a life Where one might live among things green Where air and water and food are clean Where birdsong graces the early morn And the only rumble is a thunderstorm Where solitude and peace are real States of mind to live and feel A quiet mind can think new thoughts Divine ideas that can’t be bought To live without artificial minds Where intelligence is easy to find Where the only missile is a diving bird A darting fish or a well-placed word Nothing man-made compares to trees Who exhales oxygen for us to breathe Solar-powered alchemists Make fruit from soil and sun and mist No contraption of man is half as good Converts our filth to food and wood A place for birds to sit and sing I’ll wear it like a golden ring To live one year in nature’s embrace Exceeds a lifetime in any other place

Yours Inhale is almost as lovely as a tree...
beautifull...as Joyce Kilmer said:."I think that I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree"
