Tropical Weather
a poem
The sky with water saturated Rumbles like a hungry ghost Scares the air and makes it run Signs a storm is sure to come Water rests inside the earth For eons before bubbling forth Yet restless when it’s in the sky Remaining only for a short while Clustering vapor fights for space Electric currents run the race Thunder rumbles all around Bolts of lightning reach the ground Connecting Earth to the sky Brief moment of exploding fire Summer in the tropics comes With rain and squalls shot from guns Morning comes with orange sky Grey clouds aren’t just passing by Bellowing their bright intention Blindly striking nuclear fission Fire and water fall together Temperamental tropic weather Hand of God a lightning strike One can’t escape the awesome light Life-giving water falls like breath Lighting strikes threaten death No need to try to run for cover Neither exists without the other
